Our competitive starting wage is $16.69-$18.40 and based on experience. This position is 8 hours per day, 210 days per year.  

 

Benefits include: a comprehensive benefit plan, Montana State retirement plan (PERS), overtime eligible, PLUS 8-days holiday pay, 15-days paid vacation, 12-days sick leave and 2 personal days to start.  All benefits are prorated based on FTE.  Eligible employees and their covered dependents can also take advantage of FREE healthcare at our CareHere Clinic!

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Associate degree in relevant field of study or two years in increasingly responsible administrative support experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day office assistance to school office.
  • Coordinates substitutes in the building
  • TES accounting software payment entries, receipting, and reconciling
  • Provides information in response to inquiries in person or by telephone; refers inquiries to appropriate staff.
  • Prepares communications with staff and administration.
  • Prepares materials for reports as requested.
  • Prepares and maintains substitute reports & information.
  • Operates office equipment such as copiers, calculators, word processors, personal computers, data terminals, or other equipment.
  • Plans and prioritizes work load to meet set deadlines.
  • Assists staff with special projects as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Skill in arithmetic, grammar, spelling, record keeping, and compiling material
  • Ability to maintain effective professional relationships with staff, students, and parents.
  • Ability to maintain student confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance levels.
  • Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including personal computers, telephones, and copiers.
  • Skill in critical thinking, problem analysis and resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including word processing, spread sheets and data base.
  • Ability to become proficient and successfully operate PowerSchool software.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Skill, dedication, and aptitude for working with students.
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
