Job Responsibilities:
Sweeps, mops, and polishes in rooms and halls.
Dusts and/or polishes furniture, blinds and equipment.
Cleans restrooms and fills dispensers.
Vacuums, spot cleans and/or shampoos rugs, carpets, and furniture using commercial vacuum cleaners and shampoo equipment.
Reports malfunctions of bathroom fixtures, light fixtures and/or damages to room and hall furnishings to supervisor.
Stocks area with appropriate supplies.
Locks and unlocks doors as directed.
Moves furniture, equipment or fixtures as required.
Provides basic repairs at sites.
Washes dishes or utensils as required.
May shovel and remove snow and ice from designated areas such as sidewalks, entryways and roofs as required.
May replace light bulbs.
May perform operations and checks of HVAC systems.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards.
Skill in using cleaning products and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cleaning.
Physical Demands:
This is a Heavy Duty job, according to the Selected Characteristics of Occupations Defined in the Revised Dictionary of Occupational Titles, U.S. Department of Labor and Industry. Heavy Duty involves exertion of up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds continuously to move objects.
