Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate willingness to assume leadership positions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of researched-based instructional strategies that engage all students.
- Provide organized, individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers as needed.
- Demonstrates knowledge of reading and math curriculum as outlined by District No. 5 curriculum guides.
- Provide support in analyzing student assessment data.
- Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data.
- Assist teachers with specific classroom activities when requested.
- Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum.
- Monitor intervention programs reviewing data, observing and meeting with teachers.
- Model lessons when appropriate.
- Work creatively, cooperatively, and establishes positive relationships with colleagues and guardians students.
- Participates in school and district professional development activities.
- Attends building and district meetings as required.
- Coordinate District (Star) and State (SBAC) assessments.
- Coordinate Instructional technology programs.
- Work with RTI team and staff to implement intervention plans.
- Provide leadership for after school program and summer school plans
- Substitute as needed for instructional staff to provide opportunities for classroom observations.
- Use relevant data to make intervention recommendations.
- Participate as a member school instructional teams including SIT teams.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences as requested.
- Meet regularly and collaborate with District coaches.
- Contribute to Professional Development and Early Release (Planning and Leadership).

- Ability to implement standard based instruction and assessment, and reading interventions across K-5 setting.
- Skill in the use of technology to enhance instruction and communication.
- Ability to work as a contributing member of effective teaching teams.
- Ability to maintain effective professional relationships with staff, students, and parents.

- Skill, dedication and aptitude for working with students.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance levels.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the building administration.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, AND,
- State of Montana Educator license with appropriate endorsements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent successful classroom experience in an elementary school setting.
- Master’s degree in Education.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, lift, and carry items up to 40 pounds.
